ABOUT ME
I’ve always believed that stories find me as much as I find them. No matter where I go, I somehow end up sitting with people who share their histories, their resilience, their hopes for change. Whether it’s a fisherman in Chenzhou, an elder at Bears Ears, or a young survivor in Mexico, I’ve had the privilege of listening to stories that need to be told.
I don’t come from a traditional filmmaking background, but I know how to connect with people. Curiosity, passion, and an openness to the world have led me to spaces where stories unfold naturally. I’ve spent years working in advocacy, conservation, and cultural preservation, using my skills to uplift voices that are often unheard. My upbringing shaped me to be adaptable, empathetic, and deeply committed to understanding different perspectives.
Growing up, I moved through different worlds, navigating cultures, identities, and histories that weren’t always my own but somehow felt familiar. That experience gave me an ability to build bridges, to listen before speaking, and to find the universal in the personal. People and opportunities come to me not because of what I do, but because of how I show up, open, engaged, and ready to hold space for the stories that matter.
Through my work, I’ve realized that storytelling isn’t just about film, it’s about presence, trust, and the ability to hold space for others. I don’t just document stories; I build relationships with the people who share them. My portfolio is a reflection of that.
